In 2024, declared the «Year of the Family» in Russia, the emphasis is on the importance of the family as a key institution. Special attention is paid to the impact of parental conflicts on the emotional and psychological state of children. Family conflicts create a sense of anxiety, insecurity and emotional tension in a child, which makes it difficult to socialize and develop a personality. An adequate study of these factors will make it possible to form a supportive family environment necessary for the healthy growth and development of the younger generation.

This article examines the pedagogical conditions conducive to the education of family values in second graders. Special attention is paid to the use of effective forms, methods and means of educational work.

The study of value attitudes of modern student youth to starting a family and childbirth is an urgent problem of society today, the solution of which largely determines the future of demographic development. The aim of the article is to analyse and evaluate the attitude of today's students majoring in psychology to the prospect of starting a family and having children. The results of students’ questionnaire survey within the framework of an empirical study conducted in 2024 at the Faculty of Psychology of the L.N. Tolstoy State Pedagogical University are presented here. It is found that psychology majors express their intention to create a family in the future, plan to have children, but, at the same time, they believe that children can interfere with their career; they note that low income, difficult life conditions do not contribute to the birth of children.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the ideas about family and reproductive attitudes of modern schoolchildren. It examines the role of the family as a key social institution in the process of socialization of adolescents and the transfer of cultural values. It explores how traditional and modern family values interact, and also notes the tendency towards individualization of family relations among young people. Special attention is paid to the influence of adolescence on the perception of family values and the importance of an open dialogue about reproductive health. The article highlights the importance of family as a source of emotional support and the formation of life goals, as well as the prospects for the development of family relations in modern conditions.
