The article considers the basic stages of development of media education in the USSR in the pre-war and post-war years. Describes the intensification of the implementation of media education in secondary schools, as well as popularization it in mass media and publishing specialized magazines for different ages.

The research is devoted to the problem of pedagogic-psychological accompaniment of the process of social adaptation of inmates of children's homes. Essence of pedagogic-psychological support as a special kind of professional activity to create conditions conducive to the successful adaptation of the inmates of children's homes in the community. Describes the set of psycho-pedagogical conditions, optimizing the process of social adaptation of inmates of children's homes.

The author substantiates the importance of psycho-pedagogical support provided to first-year students during their adaptation to University life. The article addresses the following mythological components of professional consciousness of future teachers-psychologists: perverted scientific naive-mythological, compensatory and mythological, protective-mythological, aesthetic-mythological, transcendental-mythological, design-mythological.

The article is devoted to topical problems of psychological counseling secondary school teachers aimed at the implementation of health-saving potential of education. The main attention is paid to the issues of prevention of fatigue and the training overload of students, accounting dynamics of the performance of pupils, creating a positive emotional background of training activities, pedagogical evaluation, ensuring satisfaction of the students of the results of the training activities. The recommendations of the psychologist-consultant presented on the basis of generalization of experience of the author in the of school № 12 of Taganrog of Rostov region, is an example of one of the pedagogical councils schools.
