The material of the article examines some issues of the influence of adverse factors of a nuclear explosion on the combat readiness and activity of military personnel and units in the conditions of performing a combat mission. Prognostic models of the psychological impact of the damaging factors of a nuclear explosion on the psyche of military personnel are described. A model of psychological manifestations in the case of the use of nuclear weapons in future wars and local conflicts is predicted. The main directions of special psychological training of military personnel for actions in the conditions of the use of nuclear weapons are described.
