The purpose of the article is to consider the global aspects of modern media education in the educational space. As a research task, the analysis of the current state of media education, media culture and media literacy and factors affecting the formation of relevant personality qualities were determined. The solution of the task was carried out on the basis of the application of General scientific research methods in the framework of comparative, logical analysis. The article highlights the factors that affect the quality and effectiveness of the formation of professional and personal characteristics of future specialists, as well as identifies the problems, place and state of media education in the global educational space. The authors present a set of solutions to improve the level of media culture and media literacy, as well as organizational and pedagogical conditions necessary to improve the effectiveness of the formation of media competence of a modern person.
The article is devoted to the use of formation and communication technologies in the process of teaching foreign languages as the way to increase to motivation and effectiveness of learning a foreign languages. The author also gives examples of the use of digital technologies in foreign language education.
The article deals with the current problem of using digital tools to assess the level of professional foreign language competence of university students studying in the field of training "Pedagogical Education". The author notes that the use of computers for knowledge assessment, mainly in a test format, has long been firmly established in pedagogical practice. However, at present, educators are faced with the task of assessing the results of educational activities on the competence approach basis, which require the use of new forms, methods and means of assessment, including the use of digital tools. After having analyzed previously published research works, digital educational tools, their functional and didactic potential, as well as systematized and generalized the practical experience of using these tools in the process of future English teachers’ professional foreign language competence level assessment, it can be concluded that the use of digital tools is possible, and in some situations is more effective and appropriate if certain rules and regulations are observed, such as differentiation between the resources used depending on the competence component being tested and the stage of language learning, the type of device used, the level of development of the platform or service, the ability to establish an examinee’s identity and proctoring in the assessment process, both synchronous and asynchronous, as well as the number of examinees. Successfully selected digital tools can make the assessment process more objective, reliable and visual.
The article is devoted to the problem of increasing motivation while teaching a foreign language. The attitude of foreign and domestic researchers on the definition of the concept of «motivation» are considered, the types of motives that encourage students to learn a foreign language, the reasons for reducing the motivation of students based on the author's pedagogical experience are given, and theoretical recommendations are given to increase the motivation of students in foreign language education.
The article is devoted to the study of the effectiveness of mentoring in foreign language education. In the study, we had to determine the possibilities of using academic support in the English lessons of foreign students, the psychological foundation of mentoring and its application to overcome the difficulties encountered by freshmen.
