In the work the authors consider the value of patriotism as a factor in the unity of personal, collective and public interests, which fully manifests itself in the most complex and ambiguous periods of society, when real threats to its existence arise. The authors emphasize the understanding of patriotism as the highest value, meaningful under any circumstances and at any time, which can direct a person, society and state to overcome any difficulties and trials.The authors emphasize that the main components (personality, state, society) are very closely interrelated and contribute to both their personal needs and social development through their activities. The article describes the modern Russian society, where the problem of identifying and defining the modern symbolism of patriotism is becoming acute, and the problem of analyzing the modern formation of patriotic symbols is becoming more acute: what events in this context are included in the symbolization, on what grounds, what exactly is selected as content. The solution to this problem needs to be accelerated, since it is directly related to the level of development of the resource of patriotism and the possibilities of solving such problems for the development of our society, which can only be managed on the basis of patriotic activation of the population.

In this work, the authors describe patriotic values in young people and people of the older generation and compare these values with each other. The authors focus on the notion of patriotism, which is interpreted differently by people belonging to different age generations. The article presents the results of a sociological study aimed at identifying and comparing these differences. In the opinion of the authors, this problem acquires special significance within the framework of the current political situation, which strengthens the influence of state factors on individual individuals and groups of people.

The article characterizes the paremiological picture of the world as a specific linguistic formation structured in accordance with culturally determined meanings. Paremia as a tool for modeling the language picture of the world are considered from the position of identifying the culturally conditioned component of paremiological meanings and cognitive mechanisms of formation of the most important cultural stereotypes in their correlative relationship with certain value dominants of the Russian linguistic culture.
