Nowadays university education is becoming more practically oriented. As a result, it seems to be of current interest to change the traditional form of oral examinations. The research is aimed at working out, theoretical analyzing and practical verifying of the effectiveness of the process of professional competence forming. The author reflects on the perspectives of final qualifying examination in Practical English taken in the form of a project that provides the future Foreign Language teachers with the opportunity of personal creative accomplishment. The experiment was conducted with fifth year university graduates Field of study "Pedagogical Education with two Profiles of Preparation", specialty "Social Studies and Foreign (English) Language". There are a variety of controlling and teaching functions of the examination. This form of the exam is stated to be more practice oriented and serves to give a more objective assessment to the level of formation of necessary cultural general, professional general and professional competences. Graduators are able to demonstrate everything they have learned and experience they have gained during their professional education. The research is based on competence, comprehensive and activity-oriented approaches. Evaluating the results of the research we were impartial and objective, assessment procedure is valid and accurate. In this article, the author demonstrates the practical value of project presentation as a form of examination to assess the level of formation of the necessary cultural, general professional and professional competences. Theoretical significance of the research is seen in the possibility of quality evaluation in practical teaching and teacher knowledge. Final exam in a form of a project allows us to test the level of the level of professional foreign language (English) proficiency, the level of professional competence and stimulates teaching interest.
In Russian foreign language education, which usually implies mastering language competences in isolation from the environment, the possibility to use authentic didactic materials within a lesson is a valuable tool to increase motivation and develop students' skills. The article aims to investigate and apply the methodology of authentic materials didacticization in accordance with the practice of the University of Trier. The analysis of the methodology opens up possible perspectives in exploring the role of authenticity of aids in the development of intercultural competence of schoolchildren.
The article presents the results of a study of the concept of information-digital competence and its components, and considers the work of scientists in this field. It is concluded that it is necessary to introduce conditions for the development of this compe-tence among schoolchildren.

The changing picture of the world and the development of technologies and means of production determine training of a new generation of specialists for Russia. The competence-oriented model of vocational education becomes relevant. Using new generation educational materials that meet the modern requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard is the condition for achieving the high quality of education. Educational literature, as the main means of teaching, should ensure the formation of competences of future specialists. We devote the study to the analysis of the effectiveness of textbooks and manuals in a foreign language for agricultural universities in terms of their focus on the students’ communicative competence formation. With the help of the methods of problem and comparative analysis of textbooks in English for agricultural universities, presented in the electronic library system “Lan”, we evaluate educational materials in terms of their competence conformity, communicative orientation, and functional completeness. The analysis has shown that educational materials in English perform the following functions: informing, developing, managing, motivating, and systematizing. However, the controlling component is not implemented, since the materials do not contain in full the basic didactic units that are subject to verification at the stage of knowledge control. Thus, the following issues are referred to the actual problems of educational and methodological support in teaching a foreign language in an agrarian university: problems of a content-didactic and organizational-methodological nature, the effectiveness of educational materials in English. Examining current pedagogical studies in the area of educational literature in foreign languages allowed for an explanation of the above issues due to inconsistency in methodology: educational resources are created utilizing the principles of the knowledge paradigm, learning results are designed as competences.
The given publication is devoted to the research competence of future teachers in the conditions of a modern university and the means of its formation. For the successful formation and development of research competence, it is necessary to use various pedagogical tools. These include project activities, research work, work with sources, methods of problem-based learning and others. Along with the tools, an important role is played by such conditions as: the creation of research centers and laboratories, the organization of scientific conferences and seminars, the involvement of students in scientific projects and the use of modern information technologies.
