The relevance of the study is due to the fact that many adolescents experience difficulties in the process of socialization. A family as an institution of primary social formation of the person can help a teenager to become a valuable member of the society or, on the contrary, to complicate the process. That is why, the aim of the article is the study of family influence factors on the results of the teenager socialization such as family structure (complete, incomplete), value orientations of parents, upbringing style (authoritarian, democratic, permissive), the type of parent-child relationships (dictatorship, guardianship, non-interference, cooperation). While conducting the study, we used the scientific method of domestic and foreign pedagogues, psychologists and sociologists scientific experience theoretical analysis, to research the problems of family influence on teenager socialization. We drew the conclusion that the family provides both direct (using the mechanism of supporting) and indirect (via the authentication mechanism) influence on the socialization of a teenager. The most important role in this process belongs to upbringing and its style: democratic style contributes to the social development of a teenager personality; authoritarian and permissive styles complicate it. Considering the type of family relationships, we admit that only cooperation between parents and children has a beneficial effect on the development of a person, capable of entering the society; dictatorship, guardianship and non-interference in family relations form in a teenager distorted patterns of behavior in society, which complicate its socialization. A favorable result of teenager social development depends on family structure too. So, one-parent family (usually lack of father than mother) weakens the social position of an adolescent in society, which in its turn leads to the problems in the relationship of the person with peers and adults. Two parents family helps to prevent such difficulties for teenager. The article may be interesting to teachers and students, who deal with the problems of family influence on teenagers socialization in such disciplines as social pedagogy, psychology, sociology. The article can be useful for parents of teenagers to understand how to ensure a successful adaptation of the child to the society.
