The article deals with the theory of learning styles by D.A. Kolb. The origin and development of this theory is being studied. The influence that the process of introducing of modern information and communication technologies in learning has had on it is considered. The theory of learning styles correlates with the main provisions of the theory of contextual learning A.A. Verbitsky. The conclusion is made about the role of these theories in the construction of the theoretical basis of the pedagogical design of the network adaptive educational environment.

The value foundation of modern education is the education of a socially mature person, ready for productive interaction with the surrounding society, introspection and self-development, which contributes to the expansion of human potential in a positive transformation of socio-economic reality. In this regard, it is necessary to search for new opportunities for the effective socialization of the individual in an earlier period — preschool childhood. Despite the fact that the problem of younger generation socialization generates increasing interest among the scientific community, both among theoreticians and practitioners, the essential character of preschool children socialization as a process and result has not been properly described. Therefore, we consider it important to make an additional analysis of foreign and Russian research works, to identify the characteristic features of socialization as a process and result; to identify key factors affecting the process of preschool children socialization; to study the main criteria for the effectiveness of preschool children socialization; to clarify the definition of “preschool children socialization” based on the subject-activity and competency-oriented approaches, to identify the main parameters of the effectiveness of preschool children socialization. As a result of the study, it was found that effective socialization of a person should take place under the conditions of a subject-activity oriented approach. In addition, the family and the inner circle are the key links in the process of preschool children socialization. Criteria, parameters, levels of preschool children socialization were worked out. The concept of "preschool children socialization" was clarified. The theoretical significance of the article is in contribution to the socio-pedagogical theory with the characteristics of preschool children socialization using a two-way approach. The practical significance of the article is in the possibility of using the results of the study for the methodological support of the diagnostic tools of researchers and teachers to identify the effectiveness of preschool children socialization.
Social development plays a special role in the life of a child and its relation to social processes. Timely identification of difficulties in communication and interaction of a child of three or four years with significant adults, peers allows for the prevention of pedagogical neglect, deviations in behavior, excessive interest in computers and television, the formation of socially acceptable and socially significant qualities of the child: curiosity, intelligence, erudition, freedom of thought and action.

The relevance of the implemented study is due to the increase in the number of persons with deviant forms of behavior, which negatively affects both the state of society in general and the development of these individuals in particular. The aim of the study was to understand the characteristics of adaptation to the environment in persons with drug and alcohol addiction and in a sample of persons without deviant behavior. The results obtained made it possible to state the absence of statistically significant differences in the degree of adaptation among persons with drug and alcohol addiction and respondents with no deviations in behavior. At the same time, the qualitative characteristic features of the adaptation were found in respondents with drug and alcohol addiction.
One of the most important tasks of college students’ vocational and personal development is the selection of life values, formation of self-awareness. There is an understanding of their inner aspirations and desires, their awareness as individuals and their individual characteristics. Successful solution of these tasks will depend on the formation of a mature personality, the formation of a profession and the effectiveness of subsequent stages in their development. The results of the study create prerequisites for updating the development of the formation degree of College Students' Value Orientations. In the system of values, socially significant values have been identified as less priority, which may affect the further development and professional development of the individual.
