The development of biology led to the emergence of an evolutionary methodological concept at a certain stage. The origin of evolutionary ideas and their development became the preparatory stage for the formation of the organic world evolution theory. The theory of natural selection, formulated by Charles Darwin, led to the emergence of Darwinism, which became the basis of the synthetic theory of evolution. On this basis, there is a need for methodologically competent and scientifically grounded study of natural selection in secondary and higher school. The purpose of the article is to analyze the selection of content and the development of methods for studying the topic “Natural selection” in the course of secondary and higher education. Natural selection as an independent factor is described in textbooks published in our country and abroad. Comparison of the information presented in various publications suggests that the works of foreign scientists pay more attention to the role of genetic processes and the mathematical processing of data obtained from the study of natural selection. In this context, the selection of content and the development of methods for studying the topic "Natural selection" in the course of secondary and higher education seem rather relevant. The methodological basis of the study includes taking into account general trends in the development of evolutionary biology. It is also recognized that the developed evolutionary ideas have got the status of system-forming regulators. From the point of view of the authors, the content of the course, regarding the study of natural selection, should be based on the idea of this factor, which is recognized in the synthetic theory of evolution. The study of the material should be accompanied by examples, the use of visual aids and laboratory work. The role of selection in evolution should be described in relation to the stabilizing, driving, as well as in relation to particular variants of the manifestation of the natural selection action. The article includes information of theoretical and practical significance. The theoretical significance is related to the description of the methodology for studying the topic “Natural Selection”. From a practical point of view, the article contains methodological recommendations, the use of which will allow the students to ensure high-quality learning of the material.

This article is devoted to the analysis of procedural characteristics of the three main approaches to foreign languages teaching in non-linguistic universities – vocationally-oriented (English for specific purposes – ESP), which is predominant nowadays in the Russian professional linguodidactics, communicative approach (Communicative language teaching – CLT), which is widely used in teaching general English and integrated learning of foreign language and professional disciplines (Content and language integrated learning – CLIL), which popularity in the academic sphere is only growing. The timeliness of this topic lies in the fact that despite having many foreign research studies in the field of using CLIL as well as Russian works on the modelling CLIL in the universities there is still a lack of practical implications studies. In our opinion, it is the lack of certain guidelines and ready-made solutions in integrating language and content in the university that hinders the implementation of this promising approach in higher education in Russia. Consequently, authors set a goal to give a procedural characteristic to the three approaches focusing in CLIL as well as to illustrate them with the certain practical example in order to show similarities and differences in practical implementation of these approaches. To do this authors have chosen a certain content and specific language to teach and on the basis of given analysis compiled procedural characteristics for each. In conclusion the analysis of results is given, the grounding for the similarities and differences in practical implementation is found. Authors have come to the conclusion that such information can be useful for the newcomers in CLIL, willing to shift from traditional ESP and CLT to a new approach, as the article gives the chance to compare not only theoretical and methodological basis of the three approaches, but also the ways of their implementation. Moreover, procedural characteristics can be used by teachers practicing CLIL in order to have a tool for self-control and further self-development.

The digital transformation of the economy implies the emergence of a new person, a highly qualified specialist, educated, friendly, with good health, physically and morally prepared for the profession. In this regard, the qualitative indicators of motor culture are of particular relevance. Human characteristics are difficult to measure, but different methods of qualimetric scaling make it possible to order relations on the measured set of properties and measures, transforming qualitative indicators into numerical variables. The essence of motor culture qualimetry is registration of the specific quality levels recorded in the standards and norms defined by the international standards ISO 9000:2000, comparing the achieved parameters with the standard of physical harmony. Thus, the choice and justification of quality indicators are the main ways of approach to the management of motor culture quality. A person needs the motor culture for a better quality of life and it is considered as an independent phenomenon within the professional culture and human culture as a whole.
